Muhammad Uzair

Muhammad stands in front of Masjid At-Tauwheed in Great Yarmouth. Since coming with his family from Pakistan a few years ago, every Friday he puts on his best clothes and comes to pray in this mosque with the local Muslim community. As a team member of the Borough Council, Muhammad makes an important contribution to the local society. He makes sure that people isolating with Covid-19 are provided with the help and knowledge that eases some of the hardships that may be caused by self-isolation.

Muhammad brought a jar of green tea leaves from Pakistan. “It is a tradition in our family to drink tea every day after lunch. It is used to ease digestion, but also to relax a bit and have a moment of reflection.”
