Selene Fernandez

Selene has been an immigrant almost her entire life. Being born in Argentina, she moved to the US for a few years, then to Spain, and eventually to the UK. "I have really come to love the UK and ... I do hope to call it my permanent home", she says.

Selene is a fan of traditional Argentine food and buys her favourite empanadas at the Porteña stall at Borough market. She likes to walk along the Thames on her way to work, especially near Tower Bridge, where she enjoys the views of the city by the river.

An idea to collect pins from all the places she visits was suggested by Selene's mother. Now Selene has pins from all the countries she has lived in, including three Argentinian ones.
