As chief risk officer of Charity Bank, Thomas Ralph helps to ensure financial services grow safely and sustainably. He also volunteers to lead Confirmation preparatory classes at a Catholic parish in south-east London.

“The term [immigration] carries a lot of baggage. I find that immigration is almost universally portrayed as negative. The government advertises how it has brought in stricter rules on those seeking to work here as though it was a virtue, but in reality a lot of migrants take roles that otherwise are very hard to fill”, he says.

To enjoy his favourite drink at home in London, Thomas brought a couple of Tanora bottles from Ireland in 2020.
